Advantage Engineering is a leading Canadian provider of rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing, and low volume production serving OEMs and Tier I/II suppliers in the automotive industry, as well as select customers in the medical and consumer products industries. Founded in 1994 as a CNC & CAD design firm, Advantage has since developed state of the art production molding and assembly capabilities.

NewPoint’s Role

NewPoint was retained by the shareholder of Advantage to sell all of the Company in order to facilitate a full exit. NewPoint assisted the Company with all aspects of evaluating, negotiating, and closing the transaction.

Transaction Snapshot

NewPoint approached international financial, strategic, and hybrid investors as potential acquirors of the Company. SyBridge Technologies Inc., a portfolio company of Crestview Partners, was chosen as the successful bidder. NewPoint played the lead role in negotiating the key transaction terms, worked closely with the Company’s management to facilitate the due diligence process, and provided input on all closing documentation.
