Junior Analyst, Investment Banking – Summer 2027

Toronto, Ontario · 4-month term, May 2027 – August 2027

NewPoint Capital Partners Inc. is looking to hire a student for a position as an Investment Banking Analyst for the Summer 2027 co-op term.

NewPoint Capital is a leading Toronto-based, boutique investment banking firm focused on providing high-quality and unbiased financial advice to mid-market companies with respect to divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, financings and restructurings. Our clients typically include management teams, shareholders, boards of directors and financial institutions. The size of transactions we lead are typically between $10 million and $200 million involving privately-held companies and divisions of public companies.

The primary responsibilities of the position include:

  • Financial modelling of clients’ businesses and potential acquisition targets
  • Preparation of pitches to win new business
  • Performing various valuation analyses
  • Development of Confidential Information Memoranda and management presentations
  • Identifying potential buyers / investors / targets for client businesses
  • Creating industry research reports
  • Marketing and business development activities

Please note: This is a capital markets role which may require long hours, including late hours and some weekend work, contingent on deal flow.
