Pelliconi & C. spa, an Italian producer of metal and plastic caps for the beverage industry, acquired a majority stake in Oriental Containers from the Indian company Oricon Enterprises.

Pelliconi is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of crown corks, metal, and plastic caps for the beverage industry and has production plants in Italy, Egypt, the US, and China, with aggregate annual production capacity of over 29 billion metal and plastic caps for the food and beverage industry.

Oriental Containers Limited is a leader in the manufacturing and trade of metal crown corks and plastics closures in the Indian beverage market.

With this transaction Pelliconi expands its activities in the Indian market, pursuing its strategy of growth in fast-growing countries.
