Deal volume in the Nordic software space has returned to pre-Covid levels. However, software transactions this quarter are down on last year’s Q3 transactions.

The last twelve months showed an impressive 138 software transactions, although this shows around a 20% drop in transaction volume compared to Q3 2021. The spread in opinions of valuations is noticeable in the private market, which is a key reason for this quarter’s reduction in transaction volume. Denmark and Norway were the most active markets in Q3 2022. The Q3 Nordic transaction market was dominated by trade buyers and PE – add-on deals, both with 10 transactions each.
