Ken Moore has over 25 years of experience in midmarket mergers and acquisitions, and has advised on transactions in the energy, food, technology, transportation, construction, financial, tool and die, and automotive manufacturing sectors. Prior to investment banking, Ken was a vice president at Barclays Bank where he was responsible for a number of leveraged acquisitions and restructurings.

Ken is a director of a number of private companies and is chairman of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp, a prominent TSX-listed Canadian power company. Ken holds both chartered financial analyst and chartered director designations.

Peter Brown has been an investment banker for over 20 years, advising on mergers and acquisitions and restructurings for mid-sized companies.

Peter’s experience includes acquisitions, financings, divestitures and restructurings in the healthcare, aerospace, transportation, contract manufacturing, and a variety of other industries. Peter is a director of a number of private companies and an advisor to many family-owned businesses. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree with honors from Queen’s University.

Oliver Khan has eight years of investment banking experience, advising clients on sell-side and buy-side transactions across industries ranging from industrial manufacturing to healthcare. Oliver is a graduate of Queen’s University, where he obtained his bachelor of commerce degree with a concentration in finance.

Jessie Rankin graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce in finance with distinction. Before joining NewPoint, she has held positions in trade market intelligence and global portfolio advisory. Jessie has experience advising on mid-market transactions across a broad range of industries such as aerospace, specialty chemicals, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Shan Shirazee graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction. Before joining NewPoint, he held positions in Toronto and Dubai in asset management, real estate advisory, and alternative investments.

Noah Beattie graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce. Before joining NewPoint, he held positions in Toronto and Halifax in wealth management and strategic consulting.

Scott Calderwood has worked in many different sectors during his career in investment banking and insolvency with more than 20 years of experience in M&A in Canada’s middle market. Before investment banking, he was a senior manager in the Coopers & Lybrand insolvency and due diligence practices. He has also held various positions in a family-owned business.

Scott participates on the boards and advisory committees of several privately held companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Queen’s University, a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and was formerly a chartered professional accountant.

Federica Nazzani is the VP Business Development at NewPoint and serves as the President of Capital Assist (Valuation) Inc., an independent business advisory practice established to assist clients in meeting their strategic and financial objectives. Located in Windsor, Ontario, Federica is spearheading NewPoint’s geographic expansion into Southwestern Ontario, and providing an extensive suite of valuation and related services through Capital Assist. These services include business valuation, budgeting, preparation of business plans and investor summaries and governance.

Federica is a Fellow Chartered Public Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator. She received the coveted Fellowship designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in recognition of her career achievements & leadership contributions to the community and the profession. She was educated at the University of Waterloo, having received her Honours Bachelor & Masters of Accounting.
