Company Profile

Daltco is the largest independent electrical, lighting, and automation distributor in Eastern Ontario, with three branches located in Kingston, Brockville, and Ottawa. In addition to electrical product distribution, Daltco also offers a full suite of services to its customers including project management and co-ordination, energy management, VMI at customer sites, and technical expertise.

NewPoint’s Role

NewPoint was retained by the shareholders of Daltco to sell the Company. NewPoint assisted the Company with all aspects of evaluating, negotiating, and closing the transaction.

Transaction Snapshot

NewPoint and Daltco's shareholders evaluated international financial, strategic, and hybrid investors as potential acquirors of the Company. Deschenes Group Inc., was chosen as the successful bidder. NewPoint played the lead role in negotiating the key transaction terms, worked closely with the Company’s management to facilitate the due diligence process, and provided advice on all closing documentation.
