M&G Steel Ltd. is a Oakville-based structural steel fabricator providing design, fabrication and installation for the building construction industry. The Company focuses on Industrial, Commercial and Infrastructure projects and has a diverse customer base across Ontario.

NewPoint’s Role

NewPoint was retained by Mr. Stephen Dulong, an experienced entrepreneur in the construction space, to acquire the M&G business. NewPoint assisted the client with all aspects relevant to the closing of the transaction including raising and structuring all financing and the negotiation of related agreements.

Transaction Snapshot

NewPoint was tasked with developing a leveraged capital structure to complete the acquisition, while maintaining appropriate liquidity in order for the Company to achieve its long-term growth objectives. NewPoint was able to structure a financing package that included an expanded operating line, a term loan and subordinated financing.
