Rail-Veyor Transportation Global Ltd (“RVTG”) is a growth-stage business providing bulk material haulage solutions to the mining and aggregate sectors and is based in Sudbury, Ontario. The company has developed an innovative new solution, combining rail and conveyor technologies to achieve greater flexibility and energy efficiency than existing systems.

NewPoint was retained by RVTG to assist in raising risk capital to bolster the company’s liquidity position and finance its growth plans. NewPoint planned and executed a disciplined and confidential process, approaching financial and strategic groups and exploring a wide variety of different capital structures.

Transaction Snapshot

After analyzing the cost of capital, equity dilution to existing shareholders and long term corporate objectives, RVTG successfully raised risk capital in the form of preferred equity from a North American based private equity firm. NewPoint was instrumental in helping the Board of RVTG determine the optimal structure and providing insights into the benefits and risks of each of the proposed bids.
